A 19- time-old Florida university pupil and aeronautics sucker says he rejected a $50K offer from Elon Musk to shut down@ElonJet, a Twitter bot he designed that tracks the appearances and goings of the Tesla and SpaceX CEO's private spurt.
In an interview Monday, Jack Sweeney, a University of Central Florida beginner, reported that Musk blocked him after he declined the buyout offer — but not before the 2 had a month-and-a-half-long dialogue.
Musk didn't incontinently answer an invitation for comment made through Tesla.
He first reached bent Sweeney on Nov. 30, consistent with screenshots of Twitter dispatches reviewed by NBC News, and Musk asked him for details about how the bot worked, remarked that air business control is" primitive"and said,"I don't love the thought of being shot by a nut case."

Sweeney said he believed Musk"a little bit"about the safety threat but that he felt that because he features a security platoon, any concern was" just worry."
Sweeney noted that non-public aeroplanes have erected-in technology that permits them to be tracked but conceded that there should be “ changes to how the entire system works,"which presumably isn't possible.
"It would be like making a change to everybody's phone that they are employing a day ,"Sweeney said."It's not like you'll just fluently change the system."
Sweeney said he told Musk about another aeronautics tracking blocking program, which Sweeney said Musk used last week.
"He may have allowed which may have worked and he could just, like, ignore me,"Sweeney said of the blocker."It doesn't really make that important of a difference."
Sweeney also runs spurt trackers for billionaires Gates and Jeff Bezos and former President Donald Trump.
Sweeney said he has no plans to require down@ElonJet. As of Monday, the foremost recent flight tracked said the spurt landed near Brownsville, Texas, on Sunday evening
